Code of Conduct

Ensuring quality and integrity in the rating process is the key element of the code of conduct in order to guarantee both procedural and ethical validity in the rating notation from Scope Credit Rating.

At the same time, an essential focus of the code of conduct is in securing the objectivity and independence by the rating agency during the implementation of rating analyses. Conflict of interests that could compromise this objectivity are detected early and averted or are generally avoided through the guidelines of the code of conduct and other internal guidelines of Scope. All essential functions subordinate to a responsible handling of relevant confidential information for the determination of the rating notation.

The code of conduct complies with the principles of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO published in the "Statement Of Principles Regarding The Activities Of Credit Rating Agencies. These principles are recognized as the standard reference for national and international rating agencies.
