Portfolio analysis

A portfolio analysis is an assessment of a portfolio as of a defined date with regard to its performance, projected returns and risk structure. This analysis also identifies the extent to which the current portfolio structure corresponds to the agreed portfolio strategy, as well as the degree of urgency to optimise or restructure the portfolio.

A portfolio analysis includes the following steps:

Analysis of individual investments and their managers regarding performance, projected returns and risk structure
Analysis of the composition and strategic alignment of the portfolio
Actual/plan comparison
Identification of any needs for the optimisation or restructuring of the portfolio
